History: In 1962 Marvin and Thelma Hartje opened their own business selling Massy-Ferguson tractors and farm equipment in La Valle, WI. In 1969 they expanded and became Hartje Implement. The growth of the Lake Redstone & Dutch Hollow communities created a new set of customer needs & opportunities. During the 1980’s the business became known as Hartje Farm and Tire Center.
Sadly, Marvin passed away in the spring of 2007. The business has always been a family affair. Today the business remains in good hands because of the family he raised and left behind. Thelma and her daughters, Connie Hartje and Barbara Buss, conduct and direct the day to day operations.
